Can you post a pic of the male, please?
If the experienced pair has spawned around the same time as the new pair there is a good chance that they will accept the eggs.
So I have my 90g tank and this is a community tank. This is there second time laying eggs... I purchased less then a week ago a proven pair. This proven pair are 6 to 7 inch. Good price $270 for both.. they also layed eggs the day before. They new fish are in a 29g tank by themselves. The one fishes tail is all toren up not sure why.
One Question is the newbies in the comu tank. If they succeed when would be a good time or would it even be possible to move them to the more experienced parents tank. Will the other parents except them. Can I transfer the eggs? Wait for Wiggler's? I know they wouldn't survive in the community tank..
Also the male discus with the riped up tail also looks very dark. Would anyone recommend the best way to get him to heal. I worry based on there history they may lay eggs again after 5 days.. maybe add him to my community tank?

Having trouble don't know how to upload to forum. By the way I male has really bad fish rot. Am I ok to add salt to the tank or will that kill the fry assuming the eggs make it
The salt won't hurt either the eggs nor the fry. If the male is in very bad shape he should be moved to a tank by himself with 1 tablespoon of salt per 10 gallons.
Pat will come on and help you with uploading your pics.

Hi Lewjo11, how are you uploading pictures? Use the Insert Image icon (third icon from the far right side) and the pictures need to be 2MB or less. If you email the picture to yourself from your phone the email app might let you choose the size for the picture to attach to the email. You can also crop the picture.

Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
I am using this Forum VIA my phone. When I click on the 3rd icon from the left all it does is inserts a check mark.
Try the icon from the far right. That is the Insert Image icon. It should show a dialog box. Are you using the mobile or full website version of the forum?

The mobile version is the only version that I see
On the mobile version if you scroll the page to the very bottom you should see the term "full site"
If you click that it will open up the full site options on your mobile device. You can then post pics smaller than 2MB into a new post or thread directly from your phone.
I need to do this on a laptop but very busy! I appreciate everyone's help on the site.
