    Default Discus inflamed gills

    Could anyone please help I recently purchased my first discus I've noticed one of them has rather large gills I have posted a video on YouTube called discus inflamed gills, steve f please help

    Hi Steve and welcome to Simply. Is this the right video? If so this discus has something call short gill plates which means the gill plates do not fully cover the gills. To be honest this discus should have never been sold as that is a defect.

    Hi thankyou for your reply yes that is the correct video I got all the other 5 discus at the same time the others look fine thankyou for telling me the problem as long as there is nothing else wrong with it
