    Default Apistogramma cacatuoides fry

After trying to let the parents raise their own, I took matters into my own hands.... doing well.

Here they are at two weeks.

Great video Rick, love the detail. The parents were eating the fry?

No, the parents weren't just all the neighbors. That's what neighbors are for....eating the babies. I just found it easier to grab the whole cave without mama and put in into this hatchery. after the eggs hatched I dumped them out of the cave and put the cave back in the tank. Then just waited a few days while they used up their egg sack, then just started the bbs 3 to 4 times a day.

    they are growing like crazy.

has worked very well. I have no idea what to do with so many apistos.

In another week or so, I'll move them into a 5.5g tank and keep feeding them. They are now the size of guppy fry.

If I had the tank space I know where you could send some! I've always liked apistos.
