The pair with the reserve is the pair the same guy has listed that is a long finned pair, Mug. I'll be thrilled to death if I win the standard fin ones.

I was out bid on the standard fin pair. it's fine. I really couldn't afford them anyway. I have a pair of standard fin albinos in the 30. They'll do.

Sorry you didn’t win them Liz

It's for the best, Patty. I throw too much money away on fish as it is.

Good pass on those. Way too pricey for standard fins.
I had almost given up hope of seeing babies. I thought I was doing something wrong. I spent a lot of time looking for little babies. Once in a while I would see a few swimming dots. Suddenly today I see clear little babies that actually look like baby shrimp!
I gave the tank an 80% WC today and wondered if I may have sucked up some tiny babies. I gave the tank a good stare just now. My water is crystal clear. All the plants are beautiful. I still bunch of clear babies swimming around in the tank! I'm going to wait another week before I have my LFS order large group for me. Do you think that 30 would be too many, Adam? I'm thinking that may be 20 would be better.

Liz, use an old nylon or mesh off a small net over your drain tube. it'll keep ya from getting the babies.....

Thanks, Mug. Donno why I didn't think of something so simple.

If the tank has an HMF, you can also drain from behind it.
I wouldn't risk getting an extra 20-30 for now. Drop it some dead leaves if you have them, along with a couple feedings of frozen/FD per week. A tank like yours with large water changes can support several hundred.
Shoot, I just went back and reread what I had written. It was a school of 29 or 30 neons I was thinking of getting in a week!
I have dead oak leaves in the tank already. I had been draining from behind the HMF, Adam. This time I stirred up the gravel and thought that if I drained from behind all the crap would get stuck in the filter. Can my little 30 gallon planted tank really support several hundred shrimp? When can I introduce the Neon's and how many. Does 30 sound like too many? Maybe I'll compromise and get 25.
