Your fish and tank are gorgeous. What is the middle one in the last pic?

As a 30+ year freshwater hobbyist, I had never kept Discus, but because of all the positive information on this Forum, I decided to give it a go.
I started with a new 200 gallon tank and since I have always kept planted tanks, I thought I would do a full planted version for the Discus. After seeding the 2 new Fluval FX6 filters with media from one of my other tanks, I put in 250 lbs of thoroughly washed pool sand, some rocks, driftwood and my plants from another tank.
After my cycle completed (only took a few days due to the massive amount of pre-seeded media I used in the filters), I added fish from my 55 gallon tank. Corydoras, Buenos Aires Tetras, Filigree redfin Tetras, a ton of Ember Tetras, 20+ Otocinclus and about 100 nerite snails, as well as 30 Cardinal Tetras.
two months in, I then added the Discus from Kenny - WOW!!! Are his fish spectacular!
All tank parameters are perfect, 3 X 30% water changes per week.
It took the Discus a couple of days to get used to the plants and other fish; one particular Discus decided he was going to war with a specific leaf on one of my Amazon swords!! Now they are happy, friendly and beg for food! A few of them seem to like surfing the currents from the FX6 outflow.
I want to thank the members of this Forum for being supportive and for being so willing to share their expertise and informed opinions with me. I especially want to thank Kenny; I drove down to his place from my home in a driving rainstorm and picked up my fish in person; what a wonderful guy he is.

If the discus are happy, I’m happy
Thanks, Patty!
That is what Kenny calls a "Ghost". I like the fact that it seems very subdued compared to the rest of the fish; it's almost a counterpoint to how flashy they are.
Great setup. Love the planted setup
Thank you.
Beautiful.
The other kind of "plain" fish I got from Kenny, is a blue faced brown, it's also very understated, but it might be my favorite of the whole bunch.
Since putting it in my tank, it has colored up really nicely and the vertical black stripes/bars have become far more evident.

I was checking those out on his last couple shipment pics. Love that blue face!

It's been a few weeks and the Discus I got from Kenny are REALLY starting to grow and their colors are becoming more intense.
My Blue faced brown is looking spectacular. The upper fin has bright red along the edge and the pelvic fins are blue and red and its head has what look almost like fluorescent blue hieroglyphs on it. The picture doesn't capture how bright and vivid the colors are; the red is stunning!
Also, two pairs have developed and they are spawning!

Beautiful set up and I love the Discus!
