I'm very much intrigued as well and also as many others. This is my 2nd batch but the 1st none of them survived.

Bryan they're growing nicely, but what is going on with the 3 laying flat in the front of the tank?

Bummer. I have never seen that before. Is that congenital or is it developmental abnormality? Glad the rest seem to be doing well

Abnormality or defects...no matter what there's always be in the group. It's fun watching them sometimes it looks like a flounder fish when they swim. I have another batch hatching this coming Monday probably huge one.

Thanks Bryan. They obviously eat or they wouldn't get to the size they are. If my pair would somehow get their wigglers to attach when free swimming maybe I would see some flounder fry 1st hand, LOL. Glad you have another big batch on the way.
Is the fish in your avatar the same strain as the female with heckel cross male?

No different fish, the one on my avatar has prominent triple bar and died long time ago. Very beautiful fish but sadly it did not produce any offspring. I can probably recreate it if some of my heckel x would cooperate. I have a very nice female heckel x that's almost ready to breed.

I would like to hold on to them for a while and see the outcome. It's a pure joy to see them grow especially for such hobbyist/breeder like me.
