Hey Guys,

I joined this forum specifically to ask this question, should have joined sooner as I have been keeping discus for many years.

About my tank:

120 Gal Display
55 Gallon Sump
K1 fluidized bed
Purigen Reactor
Phosguard Reactor
GAC Overflow style drip system that flows into the display and out through an overflow in the sump (I drip roughly 60 gallons per day).
Ph 8.2
My water is basically a fluidized rock.

My fish are doing great, everything health wise is fantasitic which is why I am yet to change anything.

Alright so the problem that im running into I just moved this system to a new house, Cacium buildup in my water is so hard that my sump and all decorations in the tank are being coated by crazy amount of calcium that is precipitating out of my well water. The rest of the house is on a softner but as you all know softners aren't the best for discus. So my idea, I want to drip ro 80% and tap 20% into my tank so I can achieve stable water without buffering agents. Does anyone have a system like this?

I'm concerned about the stability of the water as Ihave hadissues with ro in the past and thats why I have been using tap water.

Thanks in advance for any help! :)
