Baby Brine Shrimp.
Separated from parents a few weeks back, feeding flake beefheart. What is other recommendations?
Baby Brine Shrimp.
BBS is a given. As the babies grow I like to have them well started on Discus Gold. I also introduce Al's black worms as soon as they're old enough to be attracted to a bit stuck to the glass. How old and what size are your babies?

Pea size. Month maybe, I was trying to get them to take other foods, crushed beefheart flake, decapped brine...got em frozen baby brine to.
I guess I can't add pics, but they are eating homemade beefheart. Nothing added...
I'd wean them off BBS and onto solid food as soon as possible. I'm partial to beefheart, but have been convinced that flake food works just as well. Frequent, large water changes appear far more important to promoting growth and optimal development then the source of protein.

At my age, everything is irritating.
I fed mine bbs (as well as BH) until they grew and lost interest in the bbs. I noticed a rapid growth spurt during this time.
I don't wean mine. I keep giving it too them until they go from liking it best to liking other foods best. My dimes get offered BBS until they no longer care about it. Along with the BBS I toss in either Discus Gold or Al's BBS. They go for both. I tried 99% fat free ground chicken and they don's eat it yet. My juvies and adults chow down on the stuff.
