Default To clean or not to clean that is the question

Ok 68 hours and about 20 to 30 Wiggler's. I vacuumed up the dirty water around the cone 2 time. Maybe 20% water. Didn't add any. Do I clean the sides of the tank. Do I add new water? Do I really clean the tank really good.

Now? When they free swim? Over the last 3 days they have eating near nothing.. just a half a cube of blood worm each.... Help!

I wouldn't clean the tank too aggressively, just vacuum out the gunk and replace the water. You will want to increase water changes after they become free swimming and are eating additional foods (bbs). 20-30 fry is not a large spawn but will still put a lot of waste into the water as they grow. I also increase the tap water percentage as they become free swimming.

Well to my dismay the parents ate the Wiggler's. I spoke with the previous owner of the pair. He told me if the spawn is too small that they ( his old pair ) always eat the Wiggler's. Too bad.

Small spawns are always at risk...

Bryan's thread (http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showth...ge-Thread-2018) has demonstrated the importance of large water changes early on.
At my age, everything is irritating.
