After an often impatient 4 month wait, I final sold my African cichlids and have stocked my 125 gal with 8 x 4.5"-5.5" Asian discus. 2 red melons, 2 red panda, 2 red albino, 1 royal yellow and 1 marlb yellow. Here a few average quality preliminary phone pics on there 1st morning with me. I'm loving them and are stoked to have a discus display. I will be adding some wood pieces and a few river stones soon.

About time Daniel and a beautiful group of fish. How are they all doing?
Pat
Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Thanks Pat. They are a little sulky when I'm in front of the tank, but when they don't know they're being watched they're using the whole tank space for cruising, establishing the pecking order, and pecking about looking for food. I gave them a very small amount of BH mix I bought from the supplier, and they did all eat, though not ravenously. One thing I forgot was to cover the bottom side of the tank and I think see thru into the cabinet may have produced some unnecessary stress. I covered the underside with cardboard a couple of hours ago and they seem a little more at ease. I guess they have travelled a lot in the last 3 weeks. Shipped from Vietnam, then 3.5 hours by road to my place yesterday. Their colors are bold and amazing so I think in the next week or so we will be best friends!
Nice to see you finally have them Dan.
I'm sure they will receive the best possible care. Looking forward to more pics once they settle for you.
We're here for a good time...not a long time
Very nice Daniel !
Happy you got the melon strain you were looking for. They are looking great!
They're looking absolutely superb, Daniel !
I'm sure that with your good care, they'll turn out even much better-looking than they are right now. And that's saying a lot, cause they look real good so soon after their receipt.

Thanks Al, it was a tuff wait to be honest. Being a 1 tank guy these days, and having african cichlids in the tank, necessitated the wait until I git everything sold off and thoroughly cleaned. I am glad about it though because as the timing worked out that I got to choose fish from a fresh import group before they were even done QT'ing with the supplier. That then gave me a whole week to get organised on my end.
Good news is when I woke up from my post 3rd shift sleep today there was a newly formed pair (marlb yellow male & red melon female) laying eggs in the left end of the tank. I guess they feel comfortable??
