Good news is that in my tanks it grows well even with very little light and no ferts, ok it could be more red but it still looks good. Post photos of the threadfins, was thinking of getting some for my southeast asia small tank
They should be in on Friday and I’ll be more than happy to show them off.

Sorry about the quality of these pics. These guys are fast! They males display by raising their dorsal fins for males and females. I wondered if it was an occasional thing since it’s when they really look their best, but they tend to show off a lot! I’ll post when I get my bristlenose and cherry shrimp next week, but couldn’t wait to share these. They have very small mouths and seem delicate so I hope I do good with them.

I had a group of 5 of these in my Discus tank they lived for year and half I guess. You did great job in taking pictures I always manage to get a blurry picture hahaha these guys are indeed fast. Pictures don't do justice on how they actually look

I must’ve taken 50 blurry shots to get these. You’re right, pics don’t do them justice and they love to display. The males get into display contests.
I was looking at endlers, but Adam warned me that the (bigger) females would eat baby shrimp. Now that I have these I like them so much better. They aren’t as brightly colored, but they are colorful, entertaining and won’t proliferate.

They are getting mailed on Monday, so hopefully by Wed. Nothing compares to that feeling you get when new fish are in the mail!

My shrimp, bristlenose, and a cool snail made it safe and sound today. The bristlenose got right to work and the rcs are spread out now. I took some pics right after I got them in. The snail was a slug (pun intended) but he痴 sliding around on the glass now. Thank you Adam. I知 delighted. I like the way you packed everything up and thanks for the oak leaves, snail and other extras. That was a nice surprise! I値l see if I can post some pics. Glad they made it alright. The snail is a yellow Tylomelania sp. aka rabbit snail. They reproduce slowly (single snails won't at all), and they're cute as kittens.

Thanks Liz. These shrimps are so fun to watch. They didn’t waste any time exploring their new home and look great against the plants and dark substrate. I’m surprised that I’m loving the bristlenose. I didn’t expect to like them so much. My girl in the 20 is out and about even with the light on and she looks great. She’s fat and happy.

Cool Patty. I have a couple of threadfin rainbows in my big tank, they came as hitchhikers in a group of fummy noses. I find them absolutely hilarious, flashing their fins and jetting through the tank. You’ll have fun with those I’m sure
    Regards,
    Tobi
