    Default Sad Day

I euthanized my first discus today.

He was very stunted, had a deformed tail, and was missing a ventral fin.

His tail was starting to make it hard for him to swim.

    I still feel terrible.

Hi Jody, this is hard to do but it sounds like it was the right thing to do. Hope your remaining fish bring you lots of joy.

I really appreciate the comment, Pat.

All the others are doing great.

I started aging my water 2 months ago and it's made a big difference.

Today marks 4 months into the hobby for me (with fish) not just researching.

So sorry you had to take this sad decision but it was the right thing to do and you must find some confort in that. All my sympathy

So sorry friend. It's an unfortunate part of the hobby. Take solace in the fact that the lil guy's at peace now. Smile!! Moving forward shift your attention on improving your current condition & not dwelling on the past. "T"
