FInally succeeded in creating a new line!
For years I have wanted to create a new strain of Discus. Something truly different. I went through painstakingly lengthy experiments, tried crossing this and that, but nothing really gave me what I wanted. Looking back I can see that its because I went about it all wrong. If I had not culled so thoroughly any defects I saw to give the perfect monotypical tank of fry I could have shaved years off my lifelong dreams fruition.
Luckily for me I apparently I missed one such cull during my many water changes probably due to being pre-occupied over various matters. But as often happens in science, great discoveries are sometimes made from just such mistakes.
Out of about 200 fry, I found one with the style and grace to take the Discus world by storm,Something that would catch on like nothing else. Bulldog Discus, stand aside. Bat wing discus, get out of our way, Balloon fish? childsplay... This is the real deal. I introduce to you the first of its kind.. The Unicorn Discus.

Now I know you all will want a tank of these but I anticipate production will be a little slow at first. But it should not take long for me use this Discus to convert my hatchery over to production. Expect it on the market in 2020. Please do not contact me yet , I will post when they are ready. This was already leaked by a friend to the press and I have been hounded by commercial breeders to sell it. IT IS NOT FOR SALE. Its too valuable.
I just wanted to share with you all my good fortune and success at starting my new Strain. Quite exciting indeed!

If the horn doesn't grow enough, you could call it a saddle-back discus. I can see some little aquaman riding it, holding the "mane" like in Avatar.

lol this made me laugh i lost 4 discus yesterday because of a mistake i did but this made me feel better.
