    Unhappy Sick Fish

I posted a few weeks back about my bloated pearlscale angelfish. As advised I treated my tank with epsom salt. About 1 teaspoon per gallon. He remained bloated. Today I fed blood worms and he didnt take any interest in the food. Is there anything left that I can do? I was considering euthanasia. Looks like dropsy to me

Do you think it’s too late to try an antibiotic? It sure looks like dropsy, poor guy. 10 day course of Maracyn 2 perhaps?

If epsom didn't work my next course of action would be an antibiotic for internal bacterial infections as Patty already advised .

Consider the cost of treatment that might not work due to organ damage,I'd most likely buy another fish.

About 2-3 weeks ago I completed 2 rounds of Kanamycin. Im not worried about the cost or getting a new fish. I just have a soft spot for him. I have a box of maracyn but ive been holding off on it because i wanted to give thier immune systems a break.

I would still go with your hunch. If you have a soft spot, clove oil seems peaceful.More than likely it has kidney damage.
