Hello every one I have gathered you all here today to ask your thoughts, opinions, and experiences with tubifex worms I feed them to my discus and want to know if it’s a good idea? (They ate freeze dried.) Sorry if it’s in the wrong section.🤔🤔🤔

Are they Tubifex or California blackworms? Tubifex is for sure a no. Tubifex comes from sewage, California Blackworms come from clean water.
Al’s freeze dried blackworms are nutritious and all my fish love them.
If the discus are happy, I’m happy
Many times I was tempted to try feeding FD tubifex because of their protein content while keeping the water clean at the same time, as well as their dirt cheap price on the market . I've even read discus keepers experiences where they use it without encoutering any specific problems .
With that said i've never try to use it so far because I know that live tubifex , coming mostly from a sewage , is the mother of all fish parasites and pathogens . Also , I've read trusted source articles about how resilent parasite and protozoan cysts can be , and that some of them can easily survive drought or freeze periods .
Just my 2 cents on the subject .
