Default Upgrading from 55 to 75 gallon

Hello everyone. Going to purchase a 75 gal. soon. Petsmart has a Marineland 75 with stand, canopies, and LED light for 299 that I'm considering. I had a 50 gal. several years ago that dumped in my living room floor and what a mess it was. Anyone have any recommendations on a quality tank that won't break the bank if there's such a thing. Don't want to have to replace the living room floor again!

    Thanks

Good question. If that happened to me I would find another place to display your tank.
There was a thread not to long ago requesting the same advise you might find helpful from first hand experiences. http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showth...5-gallon-glass

I've looked at some but prices are a little steep and I'm worried somewhat about the possibility of scratches. Of course added cost
would be less than having to replace a floor again.

75 gal is a nice size of modest dimensions. you are into material thicknesses used on 90s, 110s, 120s, 180s, etc... However, because you don't have the combination of spans (bowing potential) and height (pressure), they are quite strong.
