Re: Red white Lily crosses with Albino blue diamond
Honestly its hard to say. It the red whites have recessive albinos you will at least get some albino. If they don't have albino genes then all of your fry will be hetero for albino... meaning they carry albino but dont express it...(f1) if you raised the f1 and bred them to each other you would get some albino. as for patterns from the pair.. Its impossible to know. It looks like theres alot of genes in play.I would guess you would get a very mixed bunch fry... There would be some interesting things in the mix probably.
best I can do with out a crystal ball on this one.Its not a common cross.

The Red White Lily/Albino Blue Diamond pair is one of a number of mixed pairs that we are offering. I agree entirely with Al that it will be impossible to tell what the offspring will be. I would imagine that most would look similar to the original Red White, since the albino trait is recessive, but it is impossible to tell without doing a thorough genetic study. Whatever they are, they will be interesting. I wanted to say something about the Red White Lily. This is what we have been calling a variety of Red White that we have been offering over the past few months. It differs from the standard Red White in that it does not have a white face, or in fact any real white at all. It still has the spectacular speckling that you find on Red Whites, and the overall impression is a pink/red discus with the texture of a tropical lily. Here's a picture. If anyone can offer any insight into this Red White variety, please do so. .... Miranda
