    Default Agar, indestructible BH?

Not new to BH mix but first time with agar... I mixed 25g of agar, a teaspoon of xanthan gum and 3oz of gelatin into my mix. This stuff is indestructible. Discus aren't eating it though but shrimp and plecos love it. Doesnt seem to melt... observes up to 4 hours. Discus tank was vacuumed after 20 minutes... will keep trying I was going to get konjac but this stuff seems to work for not clouding water.

I'm not surprised at all Eric! Its probably the same stuff they put in those "vacation" foods that they sell... I tried them once for my discus Fry and they would not touch it but the Plecos loved it.

Dan, are you in GCAS? I went to auction and swap when I got back. Haven't made a meeting yet. Might tey to unload some shrimp at next auction as I have a 55G and 40G with RCS right now. What shrimp do you keep if any?

Nice! I kept CRS/CBS in Australia. A little more delicate than the neo's but so cool. I love shrimp! What variety are your reds and blue's? Do you sell them? Cheers mate

I used to sell. Right now I’m not but may in the spring. I have Sakura, fire red, and cherry. I also have blueberry. A guy in Cinci used to have both in the same tank and both bred like crazy. I wish I remembered his contact info. Go to the auction next month. Lots of people at the club sell them. I was thinking of ordering some halocaridina rubea too.
