    Hi Julio,
Long time-no-see! Good to see you again. Interesting pair. The San Mera (wish I still had mine) is usually a brown (wild type?) based red, and I forget what RGD is, but it looks like a pigeon-based red. Pigeons have been cleaned up quite a bit lately, but you might still run into peppering; the usual P/NP issue. With some good selection, maybe F2's would be interesting!

So the P/NP issue is really prevalent in cases like this?

I haven't bred these specific strains so I can't say I know from experience, but breeding pigeon with non-pigeon has usually resulted in peppering in the fry. It seems there are pigeons these days that show no peppering, it having been bred out (?), so maybe you could get something interesting.

Alot of what you get is really going to be determined here by if the female really is a RGD.... Aka Red Gold Diamond. If so these "should "have no pigeon and you could get some very nice San Merahs.. agree with Cliff on the picking the barless ones.
You could get some decent rose reds as well. And some nice goldens if the san merah has the genes there.

Alternativelt if the female is not a good RGD but has pigeon in her.. you may get alot of peppered fry but could still get some SanMerah and rose red types in the mix.

Its well worth the attempt at breeding them, imo...I.would.
