Snapped some shots of some of my snakeskin fry from one my spawns and their turq siblings that I am keeping and growing out. From them I will pick the next generation of breeders I work with in this line. I actually have 2 tanks of them , but this is a 75 gal. Initially I was only only going to keep the Snakeskins but I have grown to like the Turq siblings as well.
Hope you like them.

I had the same feeling about my Turq's. Keep the SS and possibly part with the Turq's but to honest, they are growing on me. And, with all the different discus I've had, I've never had a Turq. They are keepers!!

Nice pattern on that one Brian, almost a tiger! yes I'd say keep it.

Looking great Al. What have you been feeding and what’s your WC schedule?
Thanks Eric,
They got baby brine shrimp until they ignored it when I fed them it.. that happens at about quarter size usually. Then transitioned to crushed flakes.I do not go crazy on the flake brand but Use a decent one one from HBH.. their seafood flake. I also feed freeze dried blackworms that ground in a coffee grinder and soaked as well as soaked DiskusGold crumble. I transition to flakes and cubes about at 1 1/2 "..
water changes are 90+%.daily for the first 1" of growth.. then I go to either 90% every other day ot 50% daily depending on how many fry are in the tank. Its not a hard fast number.

It’s hard not to love those Turqs. Mine is my Favorite Fish. Not huge, not perfect, maybe a cull even based on shape, but personality.....ACES.
Great Pics!
My homebred future breeders look like they are doing well here.. I'm pretty happy with the way they are turning out,but I could be biased.. I don't know , maybe I am just blind and they need to be culled. What do you think?

I bet lots of folks here could love some of your "culls" Al LOL. What's the one showing mostly blue in the third pics left top?
Pat
Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Thanks Pat..Thats actually a snakeskin. This batch of fry gave me a couple of incredibly fine patterned snakeskins. It will be interesting to see how its pattern changes. I should point out that all the fry here are siblings from a pair of fineline blue snakeskins.. The parents are the current growout contest frys parent...latter spawn.
