    Default Anubias

The leaves of my Anubius in my shrimp tank are turning yellow. I used to have an LED light on them. I switched it out for a fluorescent. I fertilize with Flourish Excel. The other plants are doing fine. The Anubius in my 125 Rainbowfish tank are doing well. What do you think the problem might be.

i'm no expert but i've always thought yellowing in any plant leaf is often a sign of a lack of iron? especially if the veins/strands/thingy bits that hold the leaf together stay darker than the actual leaf if that makes sense?

it could be another deficiency though. zinc, manganese, or even nitrogen.

buuut the fact that the thing you changed before the yellowing was the light, then it's probably the lighting change?

This is a photo I usually go back to when diagnosing my plants. I found it online a while back and saved it for future reference. I'm no plant expert (though all my tanks are planted) but it's likely a change in the lighting provided. With plants, there is a ratio of nutrients and light that becomes balanced for a plant to grow and thrive. When changes are made to a plants environment, that balance is also changed. You may just want to go back to the LED light when there wasn't any issues seen, or you may want to add iron to your water column. I personally use aquarium coop's iron product which works great from my experience.
