Meds?

My fry is now 26 days since hatching, is it the time to use meds on them? And, what to use?
Hint: They're in a community tank (separated from the other fishez in a 120 g long.

Which brings to my mind. Has anyone ever experimented with fry and steroids? Or growth hormone (GH) or somatotropin, also known as (hGH or HGH)? Add a smig to the tank water or food?

I haven't try it but I was given some food color by a LFS they said it takes a week to color up. The LFS said they can't sell the Discus unless they are color up.
My other experience was visiting a farm that did injections.

Theres no need to use medications on fry you have raised if the pairs were healthy. Use medications judiciously or when needed they may not work.

Theres been a few discussions on hormones here you can easily find them with the search function... good reads there. One person did document using what was most likely a hormone to get the fish to color up.

I am a strong objector to using hormones on discus. Hormones may make a fish grow faster or color up but they can also disrupt the reproductive system and cause liver and organ failure .
