    Default Light Duration

My work schedule changed to four ten hour days which means that I am away from home for about 12 hours each day. The amount of tanks I have make it impractical to feed with auto feeders so I would really like to feed the fish before I leave for work and again as soon as I get home. During my three day weekend I usually feed 4 or 5 times per day.

Is it a bad idea to leave aquarium lights on for 14 hours each day and feed 30 minutes after they come on and again about 30 minutes before they turn off?
If this is too long, any other suggestions? Maybe even two light cycles per day?

    Thanks for any comments!

I keep my lights off except for changing water in the morning, and feeding before and after work. They don't seem to mind.
At my age, everything is irritating.

No its should be okay... They will be getting 2 meals aday...not ideal for fry and youngsters but ok if you feed more when you can and feed well when you do.

I prefer having a timer in my tank as I don't want to keep the light on for a long period of time.
