Did he said please restart discus again ?
You plan to ditch your two loves , plants and discus just for a stingray ? .
I second Andrews opinion ," just don't do it"
Hi Filip,
You are welcome
So tired those days...I'm thinking about leaving discus hobby for a period to be honest.
I'm no more able to find great discus quality at affordable prices...Too much expectations probably.
Forced to wait a new complete year for wild caught never satifified with importer's quality.
I'm gently and slowly moving to predator tank with aro and stingray Lol
Andrew is challenging me to come back to discus Lol And you know him he has a lot of arguments

That's exactly what he said after earring my concerns.
You probably didn't follow the last link about tankmates
I still working in backstage.
There's nothing to do with French wild discus business.
As a hobbyist you can't wait each year the only rare shipment
And it's not A stingray it's THE stingray (she is spotted also Lol)
I am in love with plants and discusDISCUS1.jpghttp://photos.google.com/photo/AF1Qi...XWhcA7wg2AVqj9
Well scaped !
Good mix of T5 bulbs. Which one are you using as Red, Blue, Green and especcially which white 6000K ?
looking to refurbish my UFO lighting
Try to fix ricchardia or Java mosses on tree. you will get a nice Bonsai! this is the actual trend
lift up your Ph probe to avoid leakage in the tank
There's a risk to not fit with discus needs after a year. They still be young and need a lot of food which is not desirable with algae growth.
You are engaged in a extremely regular maintenance!
Thanks Filip. Playing with light bulbs and their colors.
Edit: Filip, the background is frost white, not pink. it is the effect of light.

To my opinion and experience would be better with less than 30% twice or three time a week.
Bulk will stay two long on the bottom if removed only one time a week.
With this type of scape don't create too much fluctuation
Your Ph probe is filled with a solution. If the head cap is bellow water level there's a risk of leakage in aquarium water

This is my attempt at a bare bottom planted discus community tank.rsz_2img_0141.jpg
Nice one mate. The rock looks like petrified wood to me...is it? I used to have some really cool piece in Australia with the grain & knots in the wood preserved in petrifying process...love it!
Thanks Flip. The sword plants are in pots. The other plants are either tied to driftwood or weighted down.
