Petco is having their $1 per gal sale again.. Time to get some more tanks.

Depending on where everyone lives, most of the petlands have sales also since they are going out of business. Maybe not quite as good as a dollar per gallon but just putting it out there.

You might check with them. If they have them in store, they might give you the 50% off discount. I do that for 75's when they have them and I'm looking. I get a 75 for $90.

Unfortunately, they only go up to 55g in the stores. The largest tanks in stores around me are 75g sets.

2 years ago, they had the 125's on Black Friday as a set for $300 from 7am - 12pm. The web site said nothing was available, but I went in at 1pm and saw one there. They would not honor the price because they said the sale ended at 12pm, lol...

But what ticks me off about PetCo tank sale is they charge sales tax on the non-discounted full price. And I wonder if
they actually send in the full tax to the state. So I make the drive to Oregon---no sales tax. But lately, the largest
tank at that $1 per gal price is a 40 gal. in my area.

How can they do that!? Ya, they apply the sale up 55's if they're in the store, and larger are offered at 50 % off. That's how I buy my 75's. The stock might be up to the local manager.
