Very Interesting, Al - thanks for posting it.
As you say, if it's proven viable, there are numerous ways it could economically be put to use.

If it does work, soon it's gonna be bought by "insert any oil company's name here", and it will never be seen again.
Water change is not just a chore, it's my life now...

I never knew that hydrogen can be used as a fuel .
Great invention for the decades to come .

Yes Al this is going to be real world use in less time than we think.
A couple of years ago a friend and I build a hydrogen generator to use the fuel in an automobile.
The device is driven by electricity produced from the turning wheels. the only problem we have is how to safely store the gas in a moving auto.
we even went as far as a gel type of storage to prevent catastrophic failure in the event of collision.
This real world stuff in our lifetime.

Now that is real cool. I have always been into these things. I love DIY projects and self sufficiency . I bought A few solar panels off a guy a few years back that he was using for hydrogen generation. He wanted to power a generator with it but never got past using the panels to make hydrogen... He also had a really great solar hot water system he built with vacuum tubes.
