Default Pt. altum has swelling on pectoral fin

I certainly remember to have seen this before, don't remember exactly with what kind of fish.

    Problem

    1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?

I keep this altum since about 3.5 years. 4 months ago, I noticed a small swelling at the right pectoral fin. Now, 4 months later, it has grown to about 3-4mm. It doesn't seem to arm or hurt him. He doesn't scour or scratch himself. Color is not red, just tissue color.
If it is harmless, I don't want to undertake something and stress him uselessly.

    2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds)

No particular symptoms, no particular behaviour

    3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.

    None

    Tank/Water

    4. Tank size and ages, numbers and sizes of fish.

300 l. He lives together with 3 discus (hybrids, not ideal I know) since 4 months. I noticed this already in the former tank where he lived with some wildcaught Pt. species 'Santa Isabel'. The last of them died after 10 years and I acclimated the altum with the discus. Works well on both sides.

    5. Water change regime (What percentage and how often).

    35% twice a week. Remark : I don't feed beefheart

    6. How long has tank been running? Is it bare bottom? If you have substrate, what type and how deep is it?

Tank is running for 3 years now (age of the discus). Almost bare bottom, just a monolayer gravel here and there

    7. Do you age your water? If you do for how long and what is the ph swing.

No, no need to do so. Keeping discus at this place since 28 years.

    8. Parameters and water source;

Note: Water Parameters are important in diagnosing problems within a tank. If you don't own test kits for the following information, you can purchase them, test your parameters and post this info as soon as possible.

    - temp 29°C - ph 7.8

    - ammonia reading : not detectable

    - nitrite reading : not detectable

    - nitrate reading : less than 5 ppm

What type of water or combinations of water sources do you use? If it is an RO/tap/well water mix, please list percentages in the mix.

    Municipal water without conditioner

    9. Any new fish, plants or inverts added recently.

He was the last one. Got him from somebody when he was 1-1.5 year old.

    10. Please tell us what you feed your fish and how often. This can be critical information for solving the problem so be as specific as you can.

    11. Include any pictures or videos you have which shows the symptoms. If you can't add them to this post, please provide a link to them.

I forgot to specify nutrition : frozen artemia, mysis, krill, black and white bloodworms, mussels in the morning. Pellets at noon and evening. I used to feed 'cultivated' red bloodworms in the past, but eliminated this from the list more as a precaution for the discus.

    Could it be lymphocystis?
