putting 10 discus in the tank right after cycling ok?

Tank is cycled to convert 3-4 ppm ammonia to nitrates in 24 hours in a 135 gallon. Is it okay to drop in 10 4" discus right away? Or better to put in 5 first, then 5 later. It is also lightly planted. Plants were put in about 10 days ago.

You should do a big WC first and check parameters tomorrow after adding the discus. Go light on feeding at first to see where your parameters are.

I would put all of them together .
90% WC day before putting them in and proceed with daily 50-90 % WCs for first 2-3 weeks untill the filter bacteria gets well established and achieve equilibrium with the Amonia produced .
Use aged water and dechlorinator and if you have at hand , add bottled filter bacteria to boost BB colonies production .
