Looking great Pat.
Beautiful Pat!
Looking great Pat.
These are amazing Pat! I have to give a shout-out to Al of course for the F1's, but your grow-outs are stunning. And you've done this along with the contest grow outs, your other fish, and now your new project. Plus, you've shared it with us all!
Oh, and when can we expect some more wildlife pics?
What's next for them? Their own biotope tank, F2's? If anybody can, I bet you could.
Thank you Steve and I have been a bit busy fish wise. For these guys I simply want to grow them out. If they grow like wilds they will not mature until their second year. I am setting up a 230 and they will move into that along with some heckels. I am hopefully for some F2s in the future.

Pat they look gorgeous, you do have a way about you and your way of growing discus out. What size tank do you have for these 8 I think I counted in? Jim In Ridgeville
I love these discus- will you be keeping them or selling them? If selling- Im interested
They have reached an awkward stage in their development.

as i said on FB , i love these fish, but why are they in a awkward stage
So these guys are just over a year old and I reached my year growth goal of 5.5 inches. I have also decreased the amount of protein and added more veggie flake to see if I can balance out their forehead to chin development. When I ran into this situation when they were younger I consulted with Al and he suggest their diet may be out of whack and to reduce the protein and it worked. So seeing if that advice will work again.
