Default What size is breeding size?

I’m wondering what size my shoal of discus is going to have to reach before
I start seeing pairs form...some of my babies are five inches most are four and some are three. Opinions?

Sounds like your Discus are already breeding size.
Female Discus can spawn as early as six months old.

i would not be too hasty , just let them grow bigger .
it is believed that females stop growing once they start spawning .

Hi Anthony, breeding is more related to age vs size. Stunted/runted discus can breed and successfully raise fry. Generally females mature first and later males. Also some strains mature later then others. So as Cliff said female can breed as early as six months. Perhaps nine months to a year is more typical with males maturing a bit later.
