Maybe. . .that search shows many different types and pore sizes.
I'm interested in the specifics of the type typically used with air filters in breeder tanks
Let me ask it this way. . what pore size is fry safe?
John,
You want the hydro 4 or 5 ..not the pro foam..

You can buy the sheets from Kens fish. Dee
Thanks Al
Yes this I know as I have a few.
What I need is it in sheet form and I'd like to know the pore size that's fry safe.
Thanks dee. . yes. . but what is the pore size :-P
Different sizes from fine to coarse depends on your preference. Dee
The ppi of a standard (not Pro) Hydro sponge is 80 ppi. Most fry are safe up to 45-50 ppi, but I've had tiny ones get caught in 20 and 30 ppi foam.
Ok, I'm cheating for now...
A stocking over 20ppi foam = 80ppi foam.
