    Default German and Asian strains

    What's your thoughts on having German and Asian strains in separate tanks but tanks will be next to each other. will use separate equipment.

    During QT, I would keep them in totally separate rooms. Once you follow a strict and successful QT period, you can do what you want with them. I've mixed them before...

    My oppinion is that it would be almost imposible not to spill and mix a single drop of water from one tank to another on the long run Bill , no mater how carefull you are .
    With that said many people have mixed different sources discus together with no harm using Quarantine and test-hero discus to confirm compatibility.
    Maybe you can mix two discus from both sources in a small tank as a test right from the start , and see if some troubles can be expected keeping both tanks close to one another .
