I’m sorry I wasn’t very clear. I meant how long approximately are your beautiful fish?
TL usually means tail length. Some peeps don't include the tail fin when measuring fish...
Jeeze, I have asked the same question so many times that I should know what it means. Sorry.
3 of them are about 3/4 of an inch. The big male that the breeder said had spawned once in his tank is about 1 1/3" I'm good at estimating the size of Discus but estimating the size of small fish is hard for me.

Such beautiful fish. I’m wishing you the best with them and look forward to following your efforts. I’ve only kept Asian bred ones many years ago but these little Dutch specimens look much better than anything I ever kept. I was interested in the size because I see German Blue Rams at local fish stores and their size at full color were very small with very rare exceptions and none had the color of your fish. Your fish are definitely larger than what I usually see and color is definitely much better.
I can give you the website of the breeder if you like. I'm sure he has more for sale.

Thank you. Unfortunately I just had to get rid of a tank and the only one I have left is full, unfortunately. For now I will have to note your experiences with the little jewels you’ve got!
Me too. I can't wait to have a bunch of little babies swimming around in a tank.

Wow they are extremely pretty Make my rams look like drab
I can't believe it's been so long since I got them.
Today I got sick and tired of having both pairs in the same 65 wide on the low rack. I had a couple empty 29's sitting empty on a top rack. I scrubbed them down, squeezed the sponges, changed all the water with good new water, and turned their heaters on. Tomorrow each tank will be ready for a pair. It will be much more pleasant viewing them as separate pairs each in a tank where I can see them easily than in that big wide tank on the bottom rack.
I bought all my large expensive tanks with Discus grow out in mind, and I don't have much of that going on right now.

I moved each pair and their desirable spawning places to separate 29's earlier. I'll be able to watch their activity better where they are now.

Cool Liz, now let's get this new breeding adventure under way!! Giddyup
Hi Liz - I was thinking about getting the German Blue Rams - then I saw your post. They look great. One thing that holds me back is if they are aggressive. I am planning on putting them in a new 135 gallon tank with 8 or 9 discus that will be 4" to 5". I want some movement from the rams, but not a lot of fighting. How aggressive are yours? Maybe I could try and get all females to avoid the sparring, but then I would probably lose some of the good colors.
