    Default HBH flakes

Everyone seems to be talking about these guys. Honestly i like what i see. Good ingredients, good prices, natural preservatives.

The question is, should i get, the basic staple flake food or the discus angel flake. Im mainly concerned with my 2 mo/ old juvies getting the right nutrition. All my adults eat live earthworms and are healthy and living out the glory days. Yes i make my own foods too, i just want something that takes the guess work out when i want to give them something balanced. Thanks

I do know that Al feeds the HBH seafood and veggie flake (two separate flake). He gets it from Jehmco https://www.jehmco.com/html/hbh_brand_.html.

I googled the HBH flakes. Looked like a lot of filler in it. The protein content; it doesn't seem high enough for growing out discus.

I have fed the HBH flake to my fry as a transition to FDBW for years. I find it an economical and excellent fry to juvie food. Probably most of the homebred stock I have posted were raised on this for the first few critical months of growth. I don't feed it or any flakes to fish bigger than 2 inches as it just makes a mess in my tanks and I prefer to get them on Freeze Dried Blackworms.

I use the HBH seafood lovers mix and a little of veggie mix.

47% protein, that one would be great. The one I googled was 37%. Plus soya flour, I think is much better than the wheat flour one I googled.

If you ever get a chance to try it Mervin, it really is a good mix for fry to Juvie.
