Default Are my discus breeding pair mating?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IjZEgKMtcs
Trying to figure out if they are trying to attract each other by swimming around. Any opinions? First few days I had them they shake their body. Now they are swimming around each other and going up and down in the tank. Is it also noticeable to know the female have eggs by looking at her belly? My discus pair belly only get big when they ate their food but I wonder if it is also a bunch of eggs in her belly. Any ideas when the discus will start breeding and is it close from what has been happening? 70386199_390754311615829_5173653248971636736_n.jpg71120772_495621524334414_8280282374969753600_n.jpg70386199_390754311615829_5173653248971636736_n.jpg71120772_495621524334414_8280282374969753600_n.jpg

If they are doing their bow and shaking a bit, there is a high chance that you should have them spawn soon. Hard to say exactly when.

    They look beautiful!

Hi Donny, gorgeous fish but see no indication of pairing in the video. Were they bought as a confirmed/possible pair?

Second Hand Pat it is confirm by the seller showed them with eggs. I only posted the video because I realized for like maybe 3 days, they have been swimming pretty fast around each other and also going up and down the tank.

I just don't know if they are actually about to breed soon or maybe it is just how discus are with their movements. I am still kind of new to the discus breeding knowledge so I just wanted more insight about their behavior. Usually people told me discus are pretty slow when it comes to movements but for the fair they are swimming fairly fast.

That does not make them a confirmed pair Donny. That only means one is a female. A seller will generally show a pair with fry to show they are a confirmed pair.

Another behavior to notice is them pecking on a surface. Could be that cone but also the glass. With one of my pairs they seem to like one of the filter tubes. Which is stupid place for them to chose because when the fry hatch they will get sucked up and into the filter box.
