i'm 3rd lol. When you have some Liz. Let me know and I will consider them. I don't have any space for them right now but I will have some someday.
Matt
You're 3rd. What I'm afraid of is that you will have an entire fish room before these guys decide to get in a family mood.

Very nice tank Liz!!
Thanks Brian.

These fish are so pleasing!!! Hope they breed for you, and soon.
Thanks Armando.

Wow Liz your tank and fish look so beautiful. I’d be gawking at it all day. Like living art! Well done Liz! Well done!

If the discus are happy, I’m happy
It is really good looking Liz, I may have to copy you one of these days. But I am so wary of gravel in my Discus tank now. It would take courage for me to do it.
Barb
It takes a lot of time, Barb. I have to vacuum the gravel every other WC and always do around 80% daily on that tank, and wipe downs twice a week just to keep it nice and clean. Time is at a premium for you ATM. I know when you can invest the time it takes your planted Discus tank will put mine to shame.
Mama Bear
Patty, I know that your driftwood doesn't make a statement like it did in your planted 75 but it is the back bone of my arrangement. (If you can call my thrown together tank an arrangement).
BTW, it's good to hear that you've gone to part time work. Being retired is great except for the money part. You've got the best of both worlds.
Mama Bear
Do it, they may still attempt to breed. Mine just attempted in a community tank lightly planted with driftwood. They laid eggs but then ate them slowly, thier first batch. ... my tank Screenshot_20200410-101228_Gallery.jpg
I ended up taking them out. It was too much work just trying to keep their tank "Discus clean" and although they weren't sick, I thought they weren't looking as happy as they were at first.
I do have a pair on eggs right since I set up my RO unit. We'll see how that goes. I have another pair in a tank with a bunch of their siblings and their dad, wiggling and cone pecking, but they just started several hours ago. It may be they're a pair or it may be that they're just messing with me.
