I like my BRS for many years now .
I started with 6 stage chloramine deluxe double DI but have added a extra canister on front end for cheaper pre filtering [5 micron before 1 micron sediment ]..

i use this,
1 stage 10micron
ro pump unit
3 stage 2 carbon blocks and 1 1micron
membrane 400 or 500gpd i forgot, waste water from this unit going to 2 membrans(150 and 100) and you get 30L in 15min tds 4ppm
cost max 350$
i make it because dont wanna barrel etc
