Default Discus Bloat, territorial or something more serious?

    Hi All,

I've been having some issues in my tank recently, two fish were not eating. One looks to be slowly on the possibly due to bloat and/or Hex.

The other fish (below) still isn't eating but I haven't treated this with Epsom salts yet

    DISEASE QUESTIONNAIRE

    Problem

    1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?

Started about 2 weeks ago. Fish is not eating and hiding in the corner, he/she was very much the dominant fish when i first got them. It almost seems to be guarding an area of the tank, it goes from one side of the tank to the other. When it's feeding time, all fish rush to the glass but not this fish, he sits behind the wood or near the corner of the glass. Recently had ICK which is now cured as i introduced new discus without quarantining them (I know not good, I now have a quarantine tank).

    2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds).
Tail looks to have some white spots, but they have existed for over a month now even after ICK has gone? Fish looks normal apart from it's not eating, no clamped fins or anything I can really see? It's pooped both white stringy poop and normal poop, it seems to swap and change?

    3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.
Waterlife Ick medication as per instructions, also Esha Hexamita as per directions:

    https://www.allpondsolutions.co.uk/waterlife-protozin/

I live in the UK and had no access to API General cure ot ICK-X which I now have bought some.

    6. How long has tank been running? Is it bare bottom? If you have substrate, what type and how deep is it?
Take has been running nearly 4 weeks, silca sand substrate 1 inch deep with some rocks and wood

    7. Do you age your water? If you do for how long and what is the ph swing.
No i don't age my water, i've never had any issues with my water. I run it through a HMA filter

    8. What type/brand water conditioner do you use? Do you add it to the tank or aging barrel? How much do you use?
    Prime or Fluval water conditioner

    9. Parameters and water source;

Note: Water Parameters are important in diagnosing problems within a tank. If you don't own test kits for the following information, you can purchase them, test your parameters and post this info as soon as possible.

    - temp _____86 degrees

    - ph _____ 7.6

    - ammonia reading ____0

    10. Any new fish, plants or inverts added recently.
Yes, 3 new discus 5 weeks ago

    11. Please tell us what you feed your fish and how often. This can be critical information for solving the problem so be as specific as you can.
beef heart 3 times per day. I have reduced this ALOT since I believe it could be bloat? (I was feeding 5/6 times per day before)

    12. Include any pictures or videos you have which shows the symptoms. If you can't add them to this post, please provide a link to them.?
