If your discus breed and you want to keep the babies, you're going to need more tanks anyway lol.
So I have one of the oldest models of a wet/dry system. If my discus decide to mate how would I keep the fry from getting sucked in? I can not have anther tank just for the pair my husband would be so mad at me. I already have 2 tanks my 55 discus and a 20 tall betta sorority.

You're going to have to convince your husband you need another tank, tell him your doctor said fish keeping is a good stress reliever and the more tanks you have the better your life will be.

Yea I’ve tried he told me I would have to get rid of my other discus if that happens! But it’s a community tank I have 7 corys, 5 glow light tetras, 6 emperor tetras, 7 otos.

I see them flutter at each other. At first it was the red melon who started it. Then My albino blue diamond is shivering at the red melon.
Pretty fish, all those snails aren't keeping the glass clean LOL good luck with the breeding.
