It looks like a pretty severe internal infection. If anything can save it, it would be something that will work on internal issues, such as Kanamycin, Ammoxicillin, tetracycline. Try pure meds. Most LFS over the counted are weak and expensive.
I have a pair that have been spawning since July once a week like clockwork, this is thier first try, no luck yet. They are in a 20 gallon tall with gravel substrate 1.5" depth. 1 week ago my female looked very bloated, 1 week since last batch of eggs, 48 hours later getting worse loosing color not eating and looks like now has popeye

Here's an old post on half black discus. Seems it's caused by nerve damage.http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showth...-is-black-(pic
I agree it does look like it hit the side of the tank or another object. I was a little confused on the timeline. Did the face turn black immediately or did it progress over the week?
Poop eye is easily cured with broard spectum antibiotics if caught early enough, but once swelling of the belly sets in due to kidney/tissue damage and presence edema many fish do not survive. Especially, if the scales are starting to left (dropsy). Also, you on well water. Does your well water have chlorine, most who have wells do not. Do you see any micro bubbles after a WC?
I think that 50% every 5 days WC is not enough, especially in a 20g. The smaller the tank, the less stable the water.
Thank you All, although my fish is a lot worse today I ordered medicine onlineScreenshot_20191111-180238.jpg
Local pet stores have nothing for internal parasites, also I just noticed my melafix is expired, still smells very potent
Yes lots of air bubbles, what does that mean?
Melafix does nothing other than change the smell of the water, lol... Most pure meds may have to be ordered. If you use kanaplex you will probably have to double the dose. If that's your only option then you really don't have a choice... Everything else you posted will do no good in your situation. Kanaplex is the closest thing to an antibiotic...
Double dosage on kanaplex? I searched for kanamysin they did not have
Yeah, it's getting harder to find. Angels Plus still sells it, along with a few other specialty stores https://angelsplus.com/collections/f...erial-problems
There are other stores that sell smaller weight for less money.
In the mean time, i would add about 6TBS salt per 10 gallons to help slow the spread. Keep temp at 82.
I know this is really bad, my fish is laying in corner gasping, I don't think my meds will arrive in time
Also, your tank looks like it crashes from low ph. At Ph of 6 from your well tells me this along with the 5 day WC. The kh is pretty much nil and has no holding power for stablity. Could be another reason your having issues. A bit of crushed coral in your filter will help in this case.
