I have another good sized batch, they hatched midday today. I watched both parents being very busy corralling fry in a corner. This batch will be successful and you want to know why. A week from Tuesday I am going on my yearly photo workshop and will be gone a week. Might need to teach the hubby about fry tending.

Im keen on photography myself, what type of workshop do you attend? I have followed Mangelson's work for ages and he may be mthe only U.S. workshop i'd consider, but i'd never pull the trigger.

I'm a landscape and wildlife buff myself, bucket list is to get to Galapagos for a week of photography.

This will be a local workshop for me. The other workshops were in Seattle to shoot eagles, Yellowstone in winter and the southwest of the US to shoot landscapes. I do not really follow anyone as I rather create my own style. I do however seek the advice and guidance from several local photographers and I am very active in my local camera club. I mostly shoot wildlife but have also landscapes, macro and people. The Galapagos is a dream trip.

How do you post with it showing thumbnail? Need to remove the “s” from link?

I have heard that northern coastal eagles are thick as seagulls up there. Photog’s delight!

Still have fry and this is the longest time for this pair to have live fry. Both parents are fairly active about finding the fry and spitting them in front of the larger pot. Fingers crossed.

I spoke too soon. The parents tucked most of the fry in the larger pot. We should have a ram horde tomorrow

Things are looking great. Most all the fry are in the larger pot with dad on guard. BBS will be ready about noonish and hoping the fry are free swimming by then.

It sounds like this is the time they'll figure it out. Waiting for a pic of a big swarm soon.
