Hi folks, so I have 2 german blue rams with my 4 discus and lately the rams have been attacking my discus! They are attacking my discus fiercely and nipping their fins. The discus can't do much about it because the rams are fast swimmers and smaller making them a difficult target. Sometimes they'll chase them away but it's a near impossible task. And the discus are clearly getting darker from the stress. I'm very upset about it because I bought them thinking that they were compatible. I like the rams otherwise and I don't want to give them away... So if anybody has any ideas on how to end this aggression, or any experience with rams and discus together, let me know please!

Sounds like the rams want to spawn and are trying to defend a territory ?
My rams eat and swim side by side with my discus ..
Try placing a little tray in a back corner with something big blocking it from front and see if rams don't just stay in there?
Most articles say rams only claim around 1 square foot [ 12x 12] so maybe you can box them in and they will like it ?
