Eggs this morning. I thought those two had been acting frisky for the past 2 days.

I just did a small WC in their tank and the eggs are gone. With Discus I've always gone ahead and done what I always do when they have eggs. After all, they consider their daily WC a normal part of life. Is it different for rams?

No you are all good .I just changed water on tanks with eggs ,wigglers ,fry and pairs that should breed soon just hours ago .
Maybe everyone here needs more cover in their tanks ?
I know you guys get pretty sterile with the disc but I like a few plants ,wood ,a pot or two for cover ..
I don't set up breeding tanks ,I set up bare bottom tanks for the pair .Their comfort is important .
It is easy to tell a comfortable fish from a an unsettled one ..
My one tank looks so unclean you really can't tell the blob in the corner is wigglers but it is ..

I like to assure all my water is clean ,just change 3 out 5g ..
But the tank ,well it looks lived in ...

Great advice Tom, and funny stuff as well, lol. It's great to have someone with your experience and willingness to share on the forum. It's great that you like others to succeed as well. Not too many folks left in the world like that, but there's quite a few in this community. Love it!

I have lots of cover. Drift wood, anubias and subwassertang. I'll keep trying. I will not pull eggs. If fish are too stupid to raise their own kids, they're not smart enough to have kids.
