I'm excited! Still making absolutely sure they will be okay in the 125. Taking longer than 24hr to go through 4ppm of ammonia so I'm being patient.

In the meantime I am going to get some corys from aquabid and some rams from the LFS.

Also I ordered 3 discus from Golden State Discus. Cannot WAIT for them to ship out on the 21st. They will be in QT for 6 weeks and then move into the 125

It's been a few weeks and the majority of the group has bounced back. But I think I may have been right about the 3 turqs having a rough quarantine.

The last turq is still not eating too much and acting odd - away from the group, slow swimming, seems sad.

I don't know what else I can do for him but keep giving him clean water and wait

Yep, he's miserable. Did you treat with metro while you had him in QT?

Treated the whole tank with metro last month. 14 days, salt, high temp, the whole shebang

I don't see a sick discus, Shan. No stress bars, swimming mid-water, facing the front. Maybe not as tip top as the others, but I'm optimistic. Just keep doing water changes!
At my age, everything is irritating.

Well, its hard to capture his repeat behavior but I went ahead and put him in a QT tank, doing salt for 10 days, metro for 14 days, and 94 temp during this treatment. I just wanna see him eating and hanging out with the group again.

The reason Im sure hes sick is because the other 2 turqs that came with him died and im trying to save him

Yes, still sick behavior, swimming with possible bladder problem. Any medication lately, possible over medication side effects can wear and tear internal.

    O M GEE

I didn't expect this at all! Not sure if I have a pair or whatnot but they been fighting a lot more than usual and walking by the tank this evening I saw my santarem lay eggs.

    O___O

Holy crap they're grown up now? How long have I had this batch? LOL

The video is too late. The eggs got eaten up almost immediately Lol. But you can see her

Edit* GOTCHA..but no eggs this time? Lol. I'm so giddy so happy just to see them healthy

Time to get a cone or two and see what they're made of!

It's really hard to tell in the second video, but the tube looks pointed to me - could be a male? And the solid one in the first video could be the female. Only one way to find out! Get some cones and video them non-stop!

That's awesome. Spawning fish are healthy fish.

Looking forward to seeing them in the 125.

Well seems like my thread is coming to a close. Fish moved in successfully and Im planning on getting some rams and cories as well as plecos from Brian this week. Exciting stuff I can't wait to post some stuff when Im ready.

Edit* I think im gonna hold off on adding other fish until after I get back from a mid May vacation with the wifey. I'll post a cool video by the end of the month in May! I'm so hyped to share but I need some times to stock lol
