Thread: Light timer for multiple tanks.

Default Light timer for multiple tanks.

Can anyone recommend a good light timer for multiple aquariums?

Could I plug a multi adapter into a generic plug timer?

    Hi,

Yes you can plug a powerboard or similar into a timer if you want it to come on/off at the same time. I usually just run individual timers, gives me greater flexibility.

I like a outdoor timer because you have a three prong plug to which you can add a strip outlet, most indoor timers are two prong which limits the use of a strip outlet

I plug a power strip into one of the smart timers off of amazon (there are a lot of options). For 15 bucks you get all of the benefits of a timer, but you can also cut the lights on and off from the app on your phone. You can even do this remotely.

I use the smart timers for all sorts of fishy equipment.
