    Default My Ram breeding setup

I know that I haven't gotten past the eggs stage with my Dutch Blue Rams, but I'm determined. I pick up my last 2 heaters and dip and pour Monday. I moved my BBS hatcheries. It's nice to have them right next to the sink but I need to order 3 more air valves from Jehmco before I can make BBS in their new place.

There used to be a 75 on the white stand and a 29 on the stand butted up against the white one. My back was still feeling the effects of taking the 75 down when I decided that a 20 would be of more use to me than the 29, plus it would give my poor cat more room where I have to feed her to avoid having dogs eat all her food. The 29 wasn't so bad to take down but now easy peasy like it was when I was sound of body. The smaller tanks were a joy to put up.

As you can see, nothing needs to be beautiful in my fish room. It just needs to work. I had to add a 2x4 to make the 20 gallon fit on the stand. It's ugly, but I don't care. Overall, I'm proud of my piss poor little job. My 2 pairs of Dutch rams are in the 2 middle 10 gallons. The 5 gallon is for hatching the eggs in a dip and pour and letting get a little size on them when I grow them out. The 20's are for growing them out to selling size.

Once I steal a spawn and raise it from the rams I have I plan to buy a pair that is more likely to parent raise from Tom. I'm torn between his black faced blues and his orange faced blues, but I will have lots of time before I have to decide.

No. I had my entire fish room built attached to the laundry room on the back of the house. The rest of the room was designed for Discus, so several breeding tanks plus a ton of huge grow out tanks. http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showth...lean-Fish-Room

Well, I spent a ton of money having that room built. If I hadn't, I'd have money tucked away for important things. On the other hand, I wouldn't have a fish room and that would really suck.

I'm not quite crazy enough to admit to being crazy. I'm way past thinking of myself as eccentric, though.

You know, Danny, here in the States a Tomato was once what some people would refer to as a woman dressed to the teeth in her bad taste finery, plastered with orange/red make up. She always had big hair.
Men would think that she was hot and women thought that she was there to steal a man. I don't believe I'll call myself a tomato.
