Hi there, I've got a successful pair of discus that hatch every two months and I never lost a juvie.

They are in a 45 gallon tank separated in two where they hatch one side and the juvies goes the left side when needed until 2 months old ..

Now's the time for them to give birth but mom is eating all the eggs or the complete fry pack. We tried to move her but that brings anger to her so we decided to leave her with the babies... Have you ever experienced this and found a good answer to the problem?!

I am no expert but have read here that discus pairs will only deal with 1 batch of fry at a time. If parent have access to eggs and fry they will eat either 1 or the other. Can you separate the fry to a different tank once they're taking food for themselves?

Sometimes they go through phases. As long as you know they are fee of parasites, I would give the pair some time off in with other Discus of the same age, They may decide they like each other best or they may choose different mates. The being introduced to new breeding age Discus can reunite the flame. This is just from my own personal experience.

How old is the pair and have you changed anything that you normally do such as food or water conditions

    Raph,
I think you were on the right track pull out the
female, the male can raise the fry. Remove the fry as soon as they can eat bbs, this will
be less stress on the male. Other options are
to artificially raise or have another pair foster the fry.
