I really like your scape. Looks like a solid group of discus he have there as well.
I've been stalking this forum without an account for a few months now. I didn't really feel a need to make an account before now because all the information I was looking for was already available on existing threads, but now that I've finally gotten some discus I thought it would be fun to make a tank journal in that section of the forum. I'll probably make that thread later tonight after I finish my water change, or some time tomorrow.
I've kept fish for five years, and have had planted tanks for three, I'm really excited to see where this project goes!
Instead of explaining the setup I have, it's easier to just link this video I worked so hard on, lol.

Perhaps add a pre filter to yr HOB filters/canister filter.......just my 2 cents.

With as heavy as your feeding the BH I would add the prefilter to your HOB as well otherwise you should have to clean the filter sponge weekly. BH is a super messy food and the mulm will build up in your filter and grow all sorts of nasties that can lead to sick discus
Maybe I will, but it's really easy to clean aquaclears. I rinse out the sponge about once a week regardless.
Hey Dylan !
Get some freeze dried black worms and dodge the whole BH mess..
Welcome to SD.
