    Default gill flukes

I have one discus approx. 3 years old at least 6" very nice and healthy. It acquired gill flukes and one gill looked very bad like a torn bedsheet all white and swollen and the other gill was not as bad but noticeable. I treated this using praxquintal as well as general cure over a period of 2 months the one gill has gone back to normal but the one that was the worst the swellin went done a little. Is this situation cured and the gill will not return to normal because it was damaged or does it still have gill flukes. This discus has been with another three the other three show no bad signs. Thanks for any imformation.

Some damage to the gills can not be repaired as is often the case with bad infections .
I can't say if the fish is still infected but will say you can expect to see permanent damage from your description of the gill IMO .
Glad it sounds like you disc is doing better .
