    Default Anyone with ponds?

Hi there, I and my husband are building a koi pond in our backyard. I was wondering if there's someone related to this sort of things. We have a couple of questions about water quality control and filtration

I need a piece of advice about which one of these things to choose and how to install those filters. That depends on the dimensions of the pond, right? I'd appreciate if we could discuss it in PM

Nobody else learns about these things if its discussed in a PM Paula...PM will limit your conversation to the opinion of 1 person at a time and also kinda defeats the purpose of forum life...if you want a private conversation why not just call someone who specializes in pond equipment then?

Daniel is correct. I’m sure there are plenty of koi people around who would be glad to share thoughts. Just so you know, this koi ponder has been doing it for over thirty years, has had three articles published in KOIUSA Magazine, and I’m still picking up ideas and learning. I’ve learned a ton with the Discus forum as I’ve just got into Discus the last few years. Anyway......we’re all here should you elect to use the forum.

I was hoping that you would see this thread. You've dug many ponds and know what to do. But I'd already bothered you with two favors here for what you could help with and I didn't want to bother you again.

Paula, Barb can you. So can Miranda but Barb knows the DIY way. Which ever you decide to do, please keep us updated with pics of the process as it goes on.

Are you planning on bottom drain or undergravel suction grid, or skimmer intake only?

Lots of factors before you dive in on filtration. There are thousands of options and maybe only 10-12 good ones.
